Description
This one really caught our ear, so much so that we felt we had to distribute it. Velvet Moth are an Adelaide 4-piece who feature several veterans of the South Australian independent music scene, and this is actually their 4th LP, though only their second to be released on vinyl. Their music traverses the worlds of garage-rock, prog, psych, glam and many points in between. Sometimes it brings to mind Bowie, then Pink Floyd then Mott The Hoople then the Pretty Things. Mostly, it sounds like it could have been released in 1972. Accompanied by keyboards and even some brass, it's exceptionally well conceived, played and produced. Hey, sometimes such releases seem to come out of nowhere, but we really dig it and highly recommend it! Only 175 pressed.
