ALEXANDRIA SUNSET

Another fantastic solo LP from everyman Ashley Naylor (Even/The Church/much more besides), and he's forsaken the instrumental sounds of his last few efforts for a singer-songwriter approach, this one steeped in the music and visuals (and possibly smells) of the early '70s, evoking the sun-bleached sounds of California with a dab of David Bowie and Donovan. Psych-laced beauty throughout, this is a tremendous set of tuneage.
